 Kim Jong Un tells North Koreans to 'turn their dogs into soup' during deadly heatwave North Koreans have been urged to eat dog soup as the country struggles to manage a brutal heatwave. A state newspaper in the country published an interview with one of the nation's top doctors that encouraged citizens to start making the highly controversial soup dish. Translated as "sweet meat soup", the article published in Rodong Sinmun describes the dish as offering North Koreans a "highly nutritious" food option that can help counter the symptoms of heat stroke, such as "cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and hyperthyroidism", according to the South China Morning Post.  ABIA CP DECORATES NEWLY PROMOTED OFFICERS OF THE COMMAND: HOLDS STRATEGIC CONFERENCE WITH AREA COMMANDERS, DPOS, TACTICAL TEAM COMMANDERS, HODS AND OTHER SENIOR OFFICERS OF THE COMMAND. 


The Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa, decorated 60 newly promoted ASPs, Inspectors, rank-and-files at the State Command Headquarters, thereafter, he held the monthly Command's conference for strategic officers  at the officers mess. The conference featured a session on Life After Retirement by the Assistant Commissioner of Police Administration, ACP Enahoro George and the Pension Officer of the Command. 


The CP in his lecture commended the officers for their dedication and relentless efforts particularly the tactical teams. He acknowledged the significant achievements recorded by the Command, attributing them to the professionalism and resilience of officers of the Command. 


He lectured officers on the key points from the recent concluded IGP’s conference, which includes; professionalism, integrity, intelligence-led policing, and timely response to security matters. Attention was also drawn to the improvement on the welfare of retired police officers, performance evaluation, and the need to uphold confidentiality of official documents.


Additionally, the CP urged officers to take care of their physical and mental health, increase intelligence gathering efforts, and avoid unprofessional practices such as unnecessary inspection of vehicle particulars with the view to extorting money from unsuspecting victims. 


He warned against over-detention, corruption and any form of misconduct. He called on HODs to properly supervise their subordinates and monitor their AORs, ensuring the safety and security of lives and properties across the state.
