Kim Jong Un tells North Koreans to 'turn their dogs into soup' during deadly heatwave North Koreans have been urged to eat dog soup as the country struggles to manage a brutal heatwave. A state newspaper in the country published an interview with one of the nation's top doctors that encouraged citizens to start making the highly controversial soup dish. Translated as "sweet meat soup", the article published in Rodong Sinmun describes the dish as offering North Koreans a "highly nutritious" food option that can help counter the symptoms of heat stroke, such as "cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and hyperthyroidism", according to the South China Morning Post. It has also long been believed to cause increased virility in men, as well as boosting immune systems. North Korea's capital city Pyongyang has its own dog meat restaurant that specialises in dangogi guk, with Kim Jong Un known to be a big fan, serving the dish at dinner parties and st...

A GEORGIA WOMAN WHO SPENT THE LAST 23 YEARS IN PRISON FOR TAKING THE LIFE OF HER ABUSIVE BOYFRIEND WAS JUST RELEASED UNDER THE STATES NEW "SURVIVOR JUSTICE ACT".(PHOTO).

This woman's release is a first of its kind, but hopefully not the last!

A Georgia woman who spent the last 23 years in prison for taking the life of her abusive boyfriend was just released under the states new "Survivor Justice Act".

Back on September 30th of 1999, Nicole Boyton was just a teenager with a 9-month-old baby. She was struggling to survive in a relationship with her @busive boyfriend, Ronnie Moss.

On the evening in question, Nicole had hit her breaking point. A typical argument had spiraled out of control, yet again. The fight got so bad that several young girls in the neighborhood became alarmed by the noise and knocked on the door to make sure Nicole was okay.

When Ronnie answered the door to assure the girls everything was fine, Nicole took the chance to break away and went into the home's kitchen where she grabbed a steak knife.

When Ronnie came back from answering the door, Nicole confronted Ronnie while holding the steak knife. Ronnie lunged for Nicole and grabbed her arm and a scuffle for the weapon ensued.

In the following struggle Nicole plunged the knife into the chest of Ronnie. Nicole immediately called 911 and first responders rushed to the scene. However, it proved to be a mortal wound.

Ronnie Moss was k*lled on September 30, 1999, and Nicole was indicted on December 20, 2001 on charges of "malice m*rder, felony murder predicated on aggravated assault", as well as a separate incident of aggravated assault upon Moss. The trial concluded on November 15, 2002 and Nicole was sentenced to life in prison. She was only 18-years-old at the time of her sentencing.

Now, FINALLY after 23 years of being sentenced to spend the rest of her life in prison, Nicole Boyton is a free woman.

Thanks to the Survivor Justice Law, which was passed last year in Georgia, a judge was able to review and reconsider her sentence. The new law allows judges to reconsider cases where @buse was a significant contributing factor.

That is exactly what a Cobb County judge did when he vacated Nicole's sentence on January 5th, 2025. The judge in the case then resentenced Nicole to time served.

Nicole broke down and cried when she learned she was going to be released. She reportedly already has a job lined up and is ready to build a new life at 44-years-old.

She also hopes to help other incarcerated women find justice. Although she is the first to be resentenced under the new law, she hopes many more women who fought back and ended up in prison will be freed.

We wish Nicole all the luck rebuilding her life after being away from society for 23 years.
