EFCC PRESENTS N112M RECOVERED FUND TO KWARA STATE GOVT.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

      The Ilorin Zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) on Friday October 11, 2019 presented a sum of one hundred and twelve million naira ( N112million) recovered from treasury looters to the Kwara state governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq. Speaking during the presentation at the office of the EFCC in Ilorin, the Zonal Head, Isyaku Sharu said the Zone which started its operations in Februar y has achieved a lot in terms of assets recovery and conviction of corrupt individuals. "We have 29 convictions and over N500million (five hundred million naira) recovery for both assets and cash; part of this recovery is the N111, 428, 891.00 cash recovered for the Kwara state government. "This recovery is from suspected Kwara state treasury looters. The suspects allegedly misappropriated landed properties of Harmony Holdings while others diverted funds meant for micro small and medium enterprises credit scheme.       Today Her Majesty The Queen visited   Haig Housing Trust   in Morden to officially open their new housing development. Haig Housing is the country’s largest military housing charity, with over 1,500 properties across the UK, providing affordable and accessible accommodation to armed forces veterans -some who have been severely wounded - and their families. The Queen has been Patron of Haig Housing since 1952, and 70 years ago, in 1949, opened one of the charity's estates in Jerse y. During this morning's engagement Her Majesty visited two of the new 70 homes on the development, which have been specially designed to meet resident's needs. Michael Bowman and his family welcomed The Queen into their home. Michael served in the Grenadier Guards for 14 years.            The Lagos State Government has re-emphasised its warning to those erecting buildings without obtaining the necessary Permits, restating its determination to arrest the spate of illegal construction and building collapse in the State.
