The Ogun State Government has announced the death of the Special Adviser to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Housing, Hon. Tajudeen Egunjobi.

Hon. Egunjobi reportedly died on Tuesday after a brief illness.

Governor Abiodun stated this during a condolence visit to the home of the late politician in Oke-Lantoro, Abeokuta, Ogun State, saying his death came as a rude shock, and highly painful.

According to him, the late Egunjobi was a very loyal party man who was also very diligent in the discharge of his duties to the state.

"He was a very humble, hardworking, conscientious, dependable, and reliable special adviser to this government.

"He was very loyal; besides being an architect, he was a consummate politician and a former member of the Ogun State House of Assembly.

"I appointed him Special Adviser on Housing because of the plans that we had and still have for the housing sector alongside the Commissioner for Housing, and I must say that Tajudeen was very diligent," he said.

Governor Abiodun noted that the success story of his administration in the housing sector cannot be written without mentioning the huge contributions of the late special adviser.

Earlier, the Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Jagunmolu Jamiu Omoniyi, described the late Egunjobi as a dutiful and loyal politician who contributed to the success story of the housing sector of the state.
