 NSCDC CG Urges Personnel to Avoid Rivalry, Commissions Quarter Guard


The Commandant-General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Ahmed Audi, has inaugurated the newly renovated FCT Command Headquarters Quarter Guard. Speaking at the ceremony, he advised officers to avoid inter-agency rivalry and instead collaborate with other security agencies.


Audi emphasized professionalism, urging personnel to respect boundaries and learn from more experienced agencies. He warned against intimidation and accidental discharge, stressing that such actions violate the corps' standard operating procedures.


Highlighting the importance of the quarter guard as a symbol of regimental discipline, he encouraged its use for commissioning dignitaries during official visits. Audi commended FCT Commandant Olusola Odumosu for his leadership and reaffirmed management’s support for improving the corps.


Odumosu, in turn, emphasized infrastructure development, including the establishment of new divisions and observation posts, as part of efforts to strengthen security through partnerships with local governments and traditional leaders.
