An illustrious son of Nnobi Community, Mr. Obinna Ufudo through his late father's Foundation has enrolled no fewer than 750 beneficiaries from Nnobi in Idemili South Local Government Area into the State Health Insurance Scheme (ASHIA).

In order to immortalise his father, the 750 beneficiaries were adopted into the scheme through late Sir Pius Ufudo Foundation to have access to quality and affordable healthcare services using ASHIA.

The ASHIA Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Simeon Onyemaechi commended Mr. Obinna Ufudo the son of late Sir Pius Ufudo for his benevolence to his people.

Addressing the beneficiaries at Sir Pius Ufudo foundation complex, Nnobi where the enrollment took place, Dr. Onyemaechi noted that the scheme was primarily established to end out-of-pocket medical expenditure by the citizens.

Charles Soludo's administration in giving Ndi Anambra and other residents of the state, affordable, accessible and efficient healthcare services.

He emphasized that ASHIA has been prompt in paying their capitation fees to their implementing medical facilities and urged the beneficiaries to always call ASHIA  24-hour customer care lines in case of any eventuality.

Speaking on the adoption, Mr. Ufudo said that Sir Pius Ufudo foundation is committed to improving the quality of life for Ndi Nnobi, thanking his colleagues and friends who through their support made the enrollment a reality.

He further appealed and advised the beneficiaries to make good use of the opportunity by accessing care from their chosen hospitals under the scheme since they have now been given access to the full benefit package of the scheme.

A beneficiary, Mr. Emma  Okeke thanked their benefactor for his magnanimity, and called on others to emulate him in service to humanity.
