A 15-year-old Georgia girl endured a nightmare scenario when a man smashed through a shared wall and viciously attacked her. The unbelievably scary attack was carried out at 10 p.m. on August 4th. On that evening, a 15-year-old was watching two young children inside of an apartment on the 1000 block of Summit Street in Gainesville.  CDCFIB RECRUITMENT EXERCISE ONGOING; MINISTRY OF INTERIOR DISOWNS PRESS RELEASE OF SUSPENSION AS FAKE REPORT

The Ministry of Interior has disowned a fake press release circulating on social media and messaging platforms, purporting to announce the suspension of the ongoing Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board recruitment exercise.

In a statement, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Dr Magdalene Ajani, says the document, dated August 11 and titled “CDCFIB Recruitment Update”, was falsely attributed to the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and did not originate from the Ministry, the Minister’s office, or the CDCFIB.

The Ministry states that the document is fake, unauthorised and fraudulent, stressing that the Minister neither signed nor issued the purported statement. The Ministry also clarifies that no decision has been made to defer the recruitment exercise until after the 2027 general election.

The Ministry of Interior confirms that the CDCFIB recruitment exercise is ongoing and urges applicants and members of the public to disregard the fake document.

The Ministry advises applicants to rely only on information published through the Ministry’s and CDCFIB’s verified platforms, including the official recruitment portal, cdcfib.gov.ng.
