Since stepping back from royal duties in 2020 and relocating to California, the couple’s relationship with the royal family has remained strained. 

Insiders claim Harry is eager to spend more time in Britain to mend ties, while Meghan is less enthusiastic, preferring to focus on life in the U.S. with their children, Archie and Lilibet. Reports suggest they may be negotiating a compromise that allows Harry to resume some royal duties part‑time.

Sources indicate that Meghan has little interest in rebuilding relationships with her in‑laws, leaving Harry to navigate the complexities of reconciliation largely on his own. 

Observers have noted that the couple’s routines and priorities have diverged, fueling speculation about tension in their marriage. Friends reportedly see Harry as more relaxed and spontaneous when he is in the U.K. without Meghan, a contrast to the image of the couple living increasingly separate lives.
