HAPPY BIRTHDAY, REV. FR. EMMANUEL OBIMMA — EBUBE MUONSO!. (PHOTO). #PRESS RELEASE
My attention as the Media Officer to the Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State has been drawn to a family matter involving
Mrs. Victoria Okoro Obila, wife of
His Excellency, Francis Ogbonna Obila,
the Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State
Her Excellency, Hon. Mrs. Princess Patricia Onyemaechi Obila,
which has been brought into the public space through social media.
I wish to state that the matter is currently receiving appropriate attention through the right channels.
It has been referred to the Church, under the guidance of the Rev. Father, and to the Honorable Commissioner for Women Affairs, Ebonyi State.
These institutions are saddled with the responsibility of handling family and welfare issues with fairness, confidentiality, and respect for all parties involved.
While I acknowledge the right of individuals to express concerns, I urge members of the public, especially on social media, to exercise restraint.
Family matters require careful handling, and premature public commentary or judgment can worsen the situation and cause avoidable distress.
Family and Public Guidance:
1. Allow Established Institutions to Mediate Family issues are best resolved through the Church, the Ministry of Women Affairs, and other recognized mediators.
Public escalation often complicates peaceful resolution.
2. Uphold Privacy and Human Dignity
Every family deserves respect and privacy. Speculation and judgment on social media do not provide solutions, but rather deepen pain.
3. Embrace Fair Hearing.
Justice is not a one-way traffic. It is a three-way process involving the complainant, the respondent, and the arbiter.
All sides deserve to be heard before conclusions are drawn.
I remain committed to the values of family, respect, and the rule of law. I have full confidence in the Church and the Ministry of Women Affairs to handle the matter professionally and ensure an amicable resolution.
I therefore appeal to the public to avoid the spread of unverified information and to allow due process to take its course.
Signed.
Ewa Justice Ogbonna.
Media Officer to the Deputy Governor of EbonyiState.
17th August, 2026.
