 Press Release: Every Hisbah Officer Is a Peace and Security Ambassador in His Community. Kano State Governor Alh.Abba Kabir Yusuf has reaffirmed the determination of his administration to ensure security and peace  for the protection of lives and property across the state. The Governor, represented by the Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Sheikh Ahmad Tijjani Sani Auwal, made the commitment during a stakeholders meeting on the contribution of shari'a sector institutions toward promoting peace and security in Kano State. The meeting was organized by the Kano State Hisbah Board and held at the Coronation hall Government House, Kano. He emphasized that security is a collective responsibility and urged the Hisbah Board to focus more on providing intelligence reports to conventional security agencies, rather than limiting efforts to moral enforcement alone. 32 YAHOO YAHOO BOYS ARRESTED YESTERDAY BY THE EFCC IN OGUN STATE.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

     The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan Zonal Office, on Thursday, April 25, 2019 arrested 32 suspected internet fraudsters, better known as "Yahoo-Yahoo Boys."
The suspects were arrested at Liberty Estate, Laderin area of Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital in an early morning sting operation.
Ranging between the ages of 15 and 39 years, the suspects were taken by surprise when EFCC operatives swooped on them at one of their havens in the estate.
Fourteen of them claimed to be undergraduates, while 18 others said they are self-employed in various vocations.
Their arrest was sequel to a petition detailing their alleged fraudulent activities, including internet fraud through which they obtain illicit funds from unsuspecting victims.
Items recovered from them include six exotic cars, laptops, mobile phones, several documents containing false pretences and fetish objects.The suspects are already helping operatives of the Commission with useful information.
They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.More photos below.
