Trump and his allies have repeatedly floated the idea while acknowledging that the Constitution presents a major obstacle. The 22nd Amendment prohibits anyone from being elected president more than twice. Trump won the presidency in 2016 and 2024, making another election bid constitutionally problematic. When asked Aug. 11 whether he was serious about running again in 2028, Trump acknowledged the legal barrier but stopped short of ruling out another campaign. “Everybody wants me to do it, but the law is very strong,” he said. Steve Bannon, a former Trump campaign manager and White House chief strategist, has also suggested that efforts are underway to ex...

He was 93. Rasmussen died from complications related to Parkinson’s disease, according to ESPN historian Mike Soltys. Rasmussen revealed in 2019 that he had been diagnosed with the degenerative condition five years earlier. Rasmussen and his son, Scott, created the concept for a television network devoted entirely to sports around the clock.
