Pharm. Uche Nwayalani, who lectured the students on “Drug Misuse and Drug Abuse”, explained the differences between the two for them and encouraged the students never to engage in drug abuse.

The students were also exposed to ‘Hand Hygiene’ with a practical demonstration of appropriate ways of washing one’s hands by Pharmacist Adewunmi Ogunbowale and the need for the students to cultivate a healthy lifestyle.

In his response, the representative of the Principal of the School, Mr. Stephen Owolabi, appreciated the team of Pharmacists from Randle General Hospital, Surulere and thanked them for the educative lectures delivered.

The high point of the advocacy was the distribution of Hand-Washing Liquid prepared by the Pharmacy team of the Hospital to students and staff of the School.

Similarly, as part of the activities marking the Pharmacist Day celebrations, a lecture on ‘Medication Safety’ was also delivered to members of staff of Randle General Hospital.
