  President Bola Tinubu has identified the creative economy as a pivotal element of his administration’s economic diversification agenda, reaffirming his commitment to positioning Nigeria’s creative sector as a driving force for global influence. The President stated this at the launch of the 2024 Abuja International Carnival at Eagle Square, Abuja. President Tinubu, represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, said the carnival reaffirms the essence of who Nigerians are—”a people of culture, a people of art, a people of colour, and a people of shared values”. Ex-Police spokesman in Rivers, Nnamdi Omoni dies few days after celebrating birthday

Former spokesman of Rivers State Police Command, SP Nnamdi Omoni is dead.

SP Omoni died on Tuesday in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital and the cause of his death is still unknown.

He had celebrated his birthday last Friday in Port Harcourt.

Before his death, Omoni was the Divisional Police Officer for Elimgbu police station in Obio Akpor local government area.

He took up the position after his was promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Police.

The Rivers State Police command was, however, yet to issue a statement on the latest incident.
