 Israel and Lebanon agree to extend US-brokered ceasefire by 45 days, State Department says Israel and Lebanon have agreed to extend a U.S.-brokered ceasefire by 45 days, according to U.S. officials, in an effort to allow further progress in ongoing negotiations aimed at reducing hostilities along their shared border. A State Department spokesperson said the April 16 cessation of hostilities would be extended by an additional 45 days following what officials described as “highly productive” talks held in Washington on Thursday and Friday. The two sides are expected to resume negotiations on June 2 and June 3. The discussions mark the third round of meetings between Israel and Lebanon since renewed fighting escalated earlier this year, including Israeli airstrikes following missile fire from Hezbollah and subsequent Israeli ground operations in southern Lebanon.  DISCIPLINE: IGP APPROVES, CONDUCTS MENTORING PROGRAMME FOR YOUNG WOMEN OFFICERS



Harps on Gender Inclusivity


The Inspector-General of Police, Ag. IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, in a commendable move towards promoting gender inclusivity and professional development within the Nigeria Police Force, has approved and overseen a comprehensive mentoring programme targeting young women officers for better service delivery, decency, and self-esteem. The initiative is part of the IGP’s commitment to implementing the National Action Plan (NAP) on Women, Peace, and Security in line with the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 aimed at ensuring gender-sensitive and responsive security sector reform. 


This programme commenced with an interactive session by the representative of the IGP, the Force Gender Adviser, Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Aishatu Abubakar Baju, PhD, OON, mni, and other senior female officers, with the recent graduating female cadets at the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, a few days to their passing out parade and presidential commissioning, where she charged them on dedication to work, discipline and committed service to the fatherland. She further added that the young female officers will be placed under the supervision of experienced female officers for continuous mentorship and guidance.


The Inspector-General of Police noted that the mentorship programme aims at providing young women officers with a supportive environment for personal and professional growth, equipping them with essential skills, knowledge, and confidence to excel in their careers. The IGP reiterated the NPF’s commitment to promoting gender diversity and inclusivity at all levels. He noted that the NPF is poised to evolve and adapt to modern challenges which contribute to building a more effective, diverse, and resilient policing system in Nigeria.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
