Mixed Reactions Trail Video Of Policewoman Helping Osun First Lady Wear Earrings

A video has been making the rounds on X, showing a female police officer helping the wife of the Osun State First Lady, Titilayo Adeleke, to wear her earrings.

The video has sparked discussions about the appropriateness of such actions performed in public by Nigerian security personnel.

Nigerians on X argue that public servants, including police personnel, should maintain a level of professionalism and focus on their primary duties rather than engaging in what they called menial and non-official tasks, while some defended the act.

An X user, Didabliz wrote, "Is it the person using them that should be blamed or the force that allows it?"

OAKay_1 wrote, "Pocket change and unnecessary expectations are why a police officer is carrying bags, doing menial tasks, etc for their VIPs.

The user added, "Professionalism would lose you a few Naira but you’d be respected for sticking to your original assigned tasks.
Imagine training worldwide to be househelp".

Defending the act, Sir_ClEMENTI0, wrote, "They might be friends."

Another X user identified as Zaliatishiaku wrote, "But she’s her aid and they probably have a personal friendship. The policewoman is a human being, not a robot so I see no problem helping her to glam up."

An Instagram user, ireti_ola1, wrote, "Una just get problem for dis country... I see nothing wrong here".

Another User, may_jor_keys, wrote, "E no mean anything just a lady helping another Nigerian lady, make una rest".

presh_ocean wrote, "I don't see anything bad in helping one out".
