 EFCC Arrests Eight Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Uyo Operatives of the Uyo Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday May 2, 2024 arrested eight suspected  internet fraudsters in an early morning sting operation at Osong Ama Extension in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. They were arrested following credible intelligence on their suspected involvement in internet fraud.   Items recovered from them include, seven laptops; 13 smart phones; two wrist watches and one router.   The suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

First lady welcomes baby of the year

First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has welcomed the first baby of the year in the FCT.  

The baby named Mister Johnson Boluwatife was delivered at 12.03 at the National Hospital Abuja.

The hospital is taking delivery of the first baby of the year after three years

On the occasion, Senator Remi Tinubu said the present administration was committed to the  welfare of Nigerians and urged nursing mothers to take proper care of their babies wellbeing. 

She said the birth of the baby symbolizes hope and new beginning for Nigeria

The parents of the new baby Mr and Mrs Johnson Boluwatife thanked federal government for the kind gesture and promised to train the child in the way of the lord. 

Minister of Women Affairs, Mrs Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, who was on the first Lady’s entourage provided 5 years of financial assistance to a patient at the hospital 

Highlights of the occasion was the presentation of gifts to the first baby of the year and other nursing mothers.
