 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity. On this August 18th, the occasion presents itself for me to tell you how proud I am of you.


From the moment you came into this world, with your innate maturity, I entrusted you with the understanding that my role as your father, with its authority and responsibilities will never change. 


We live in a world where selfish and fleeting battles are commonplace, but remember, you are the sole master of your destiny. Through your hard work, you will forge your own path and shape your future. No one will hand you anything on a silver platter.


You must be impervious to the manipulations and instrumentalizations of those who would turn you against your family and loved ones. Cutting yourself off from family ties only makes you more vulnerable. You need to block those influences.


No family is perfect, but you have the most important things: my LOVE and my PRIDE as your father.


This day is full of symbolism: it’s your birthday, and you’ll likely be playing your first game for a first-division club. As your father, my emotions overflow, but I must remind you: hold on to the qualities you've cultivated. Your strength of character, your beautiful smile, and the unwavering dream you've nurtured since birth.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
