 PRESS RELEASE  6TH OSOM GAMES TODAY DECLARED OPEN BY THE NSC CHAIRMAN.  The National Sports Commission (NSC) is making headlines once again with its commitment to promoting Nigerian athletes through regular internal competitions. Today, Mallam Shehu Dikko, Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), declared the 6th OSOM Games open in a colourful ceremony at the Moshood Abiola International Stadium in Abuja. This statement reinforces the Commission's dedication to their Renewed Hope Initiative for Nigerian Sports Economy (RHINSE) mandate and their goal of turning sports from a field of consumption to one of production. The OSOM Games, which stands for One Service One Medal, is an inter-security agency competition that aims to foster unity and camaraderie among the various security agencies in Nigeria. PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES BADMINTON PLAYER, ENIOLA MARIAM BOLAJI, ON PARALYMPIC FEAT



President Bola Tinubu congratulates Ms. Eniola Mariam Bolaji on winning a medal in badminton at the Paris 2024 Paralympics, becoming the first African athlete to achieve such a feat in the sport at the Games.


Eighteen-year-old Eniola clinched bronze in the women's Para-badminton SL3 at the Paris Paralympics on Monday.


President Tinubu commends Ms. Bolaji for her courage and resilience, which she demonstrated against all odds to secure Nigeria's first medal at the Games.


The President thanks the young athlete for making the nation proud and describes her as a fine example of the resourcefulness, talent, and grit of Nigeria's youths.


President Tinubu enjoins Ms. Bolaji not to relent but to keep striving for success.
