 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.  Five Men Charged with Stealing N25 Million Worth of Milo in Ogun


Five men appeared before an Ota Magistrates' Court in Ogun State on Monday, accused of stealing a truckload of Milo products valued at N25 million. The defendants—Temidire Ramon (35), Aminu Yusuf (26), Olusola Opadare (35), Oludayo Adeleye (38), and Amodu Jimoh (51)—are facing charges of theft and conspiracy.


According to the prosecutor, Insp. E.O. Adaraloye, the defendants committed the crime on October 13, 2020, at Agbara, Ogun State, by conspiring to steal the Milo products from Nestle Company. The alleged offences violate Sections 390(9) and 516 of the Criminal Code Laws of Ogun State.


The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges. Magistrate Mr. O.A. Onagoruwa granted them bail of N500,000 each, with two sureties in the same amount. The sureties must be employed and reside within the court's jurisdiction, providing proof of tax payments to Ogun State. The case has been adjourned to December 12 for further hearing.
