 STATEHOUSE PRESS STATEMENT PRESIDENT TINUBU'S MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE TO CHIMAMANDA ADICHIE AND HER FAMILY   With a deep sense of grief, I condole with Ms Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, her husband, Dr Ivara Esege, and the entire family on the passing of their son, Nkanu Nnamdi.   As a parent myself who has suffered the loss of a loved one, no grief is as devastating as losing a child.   I empathise with the family at this difficult time, and I mourn this sad loss with them.   Ms Adichie is a literary icon who has brought joy and light to many homes globally, and I pray she and her family find strength in the Almighty in this trying hour.   My prayers are with the family.   Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Federal Republic of Nigeria January 8, 2026

 Anambra State Attorney General Lauds Soludo's Noble Leadership

Anambra State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Professor Sylvia Chika Ifemeje, has lauded Governor Soludo's administration for its outstanding performance in the state. She made this commendation during a courtesy visit by representatives of the Senior Advocates of Nigeria, Anambra State.


 Speaking, the team leader,  Professor Ilochi Okafor (SAN) said the team’s visit aimed to discuss key judicial sector concerns and explore solutions.


He highlighted key concerns, including the Court of Appeal's non sitting schedule, judges appointments, welfare of judges and magistrates, provision of security during court sittings and at residences, vehicle provision, and police escorts.


Responding, the Attorney General, Prof. Ifemeje noted that the state government has made significant strides in the judicial sector since her tenure, including the appointment of two judges, with more pending and forthcoming appointments in the pipeline.


She pointed out notable initiatives, including solar installations at judges' residences, online hosting of Anambra State Laws on the Ministry of Justice website with a payment portal, and virtual hearing facilities in four correctional centers and 31 high courts to reduce congestion.


The Attorney General added that the justice sector has been fully automated with an end-to-end system, featuring e-filing, e-service, e-payments, and electronic record compilation. Additionally, law pavilions have been installed in Ministry of Justice outstations and headquarters for efficient research. Renovation works have been completed at four outstations (Nnewi, Awka, Otuocha, and Onitsha), while ongoing projects include construction of four court halls and four judges' residential quarters at the Awka Judicial Headquarters, aimed at enhancing justice delivery.


She also highlighted the state government's initiatives, including renovations of the Ekwulobia Correctional Services Center, Court of Appeal, Federal High Court, 31 High Court halls, and residential quarters for 31 High Court judges.


The commissioner noted that the administration has established specialized courts for children and gender-based violence cases at both Magistrate and High Court levels. The government has also set up small claims courts to expedite resolution of cases involving liquidated money demands under N5 million.


Regarding the Court of Appeal's non-sitting, she assured that measures are being taken to meet their demands, paving the way for resumed sittings.


Professor Ifemeje assured them that the administration prioritizes the welfare of judges and magistrates, working tirelessly to ensure their comfort and support as they discharge their duties.


She acknowledged their concerns, requesting that they document any statutory entitlements not being met, so she could forward the matters to the governor.


In a vote of thanks, Rev. Fr. Dr. E.S.C. Obiorah expressed gratitude commending the Attorney General on her efforts on behalf of all the Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs).


The visit was attended by notable Senior Advocates in the state including Professor Ilochi Okafor, Chief Ozoemenam Onyali, Chief Oseloka Osigwe, Chief G.B. Obi, Chief J.R.N. Nduka, Dr. C.I. Okafor, Chief Peter Afuba, Rev. Fr. Dr. E.S.C. Obiorah, Ike Obeta, Chief Ifeanyi Obiakor, and A.C. Anaenugwu.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.  Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
