 U.S equipment, experts arrive at Kenya Ebola facility despite court order, protests Around 20 flights carrying medical equipment and specialist staff have landed at a base in Kenya where the U.S. ​government is continuing to build an Ebola quarantine facility despite protests and Kenyan court orders blocking it, according to flight data and officials. At least two ‌people have been killed in protests in the central Kenyan town of Nanyuki, home to the Kenyan air force base where the U.S. military is building a 50-bed unit for Americans who might be exposed to the virus, which has infected hundreds in Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. A Kenyan court first ordered work on the Ebola facility to be suspended on May ​28, yet U.S. military flights into Nanyuki continued in the days that followed, according to data from flight-tracking service Flightradar24.  Bandits Kill 13 At Wedding In Kaduna, Abduct Several Guests


At least 13 people have been killed following a bandit attack on a wedding ceremony in Kahir village, located in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State.


The late-night assault, which occurred around 11:47 p.m. on Sunday, left several guests injured and an unspecified number abducted.


According to a resident, Shehu Bala, the attackers, armed with AK-47 rifles, stormed the venue in large numbers and opened fire indiscriminately on attendees.


Several injured victims were rushed to Kagarko General Hospital for treatment, while two individuals with critical injuries were referred to medical facilities in Kaduna.


“In fact, two of my friends who were inside the hall also sustained bullet injuries during the attack,” Bala said, noting that the number of abducted persons remains unclear due to the chaotic nature of the incident.


A community leader, who spoke anonymously, confirmed the attack and identified the victims as Bako Danjuma, Williams Luka, Peter Williams, Joseph Yakubu, Victor Peter, John Dan Asabe, Angulu Markus, Maikano Aribi, Douglas John, Ado Yakubu, Zaphaniah Alhaji, Joseph Kaddah, and Francis Unguwa Doya.


The source added that the assailants operated unchallenged for nearly an hour, during which they looted shops, making away with foodstuffs, provisions, and drugs from a local chemist.


The victims have since been buried, while efforts to establish contact with the abductors have so far been unsuccessful.
