 Boko Haram: Information minister naive, says Zulum Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State has reacted to a news report which suggested that Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, dismissed the recent concerns he raised regarding the security situation in the state. Zulum had said  Boko Haram has renewed its attacks and kidnappings in the state with little pushback from security forces, suggesting that authorities in the region are losing ground to the insurgents. Zulum stated this during a meeting with security forces in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, on Tuesday. Daily Trust reports that Boko Haram militants and its offshoot, the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), have mainly operated in the northeast of Nigeria, attacking security forces and civilians, and killing and displacing tens of thousands of people. MONICA SPEARS,FORBIDDEN PASSION STAR,WHO PASSED AWAY.

           Monica Spears was the leading actress in Forbidden Passions as Bianca Santillana,passsed away before the soap opera was aired on Telemudo.She was Miss Venezuela from 2004-2005.She had acted in seven soap operas including Forbidden Passions which she acted in 2013.She was born on 1 October 1984 in Venezuela and died January 6,2014 {29years},near Puerero Cabello,Venezuela where she was on vacation with her  ex-husband and their five year old daughter,on a high way in central Carabobo,where she and her exhusband was killed during an attempted robbery and their daughter was shot and wounded in the leg.The police reported that the incident occured around 9 or 10pm.Her ex husband was Irish while Monica Spears's mother family emigrated from Germany and her father has English ancestry.On January 8,2014,seven people were arrested by the police for their alleged involvement in the murder.At the time of the arrest,the Venezuelan authorities also confisticated several items believed to have been owned by Spears and her exhusband Henry Berry.Her daughter is now in the care of her grand parents since her parent'st death.May her soul rest in perfect peace,Amen.More pictures below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
