 Carrick favourite for Man Utd caretaker role Michael Carrick has emerged as favourite to be appointed Manchester United caretaker head coach, according to sources close to the process. Club chiefs are hoping to have an appointment in place for when players return to training on Wednesday. While a final decision is yet to be reached, talks are said to have progressed with the 44-year-old over the position. Carrick previously had a three-game stint as United's temporary boss following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's dismissal in 2021. He won two and drew one of those matches but left after Ralf Rangnick's arrival as interim manager. Solskjaer held face-to-face discussions with the club on Saturday about a return. United sacked Ruben Amorim as manager after 14 months in the job on 5 January. MONICA SPEARS,FORBIDDEN PASSION STAR,WHO PASSED AWAY.

           Monica Spears was the leading actress in Forbidden Passions as Bianca Santillana,passsed away before the soap opera was aired on Telemudo.She was Miss Venezuela from 2004-2005.She had acted in seven soap operas including Forbidden Passions which she acted in 2013.She was born on 1 October 1984 in Venezuela and died January 6,2014 {29years},near Puerero Cabello,Venezuela where she was on vacation with her  ex-husband and their five year old daughter,on a high way in central Carabobo,where she and her exhusband was killed during an attempted robbery and their daughter was shot and wounded in the leg.The police reported that the incident occured around 9 or 10pm.Her ex husband was Irish while Monica Spears's mother family emigrated from Germany and her father has English ancestry.On January 8,2014,seven people were arrested by the police for their alleged involvement in the murder.At the time of the arrest,the Venezuelan authorities also confisticated several items believed to have been owned by Spears and her exhusband Henry Berry.Her daughter is now in the care of her grand parents since her parent'st death.May her soul rest in perfect peace,Amen.More pictures below.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
