  President Bola Tinubu has identified the creative economy as a pivotal element of his administration’s economic diversification agenda, reaffirming his commitment to positioning Nigeria’s creative sector as a driving force for global influence. The President stated this at the launch of the 2024 Abuja International Carnival at Eagle Square, Abuja. President Tinubu, represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, said the carnival reaffirms the essence of who Nigerians are—”a people of culture, a people of art, a people of colour, and a people of shared values”. TENSION IN SURULERE LAGOS,AS ACTOR DESMOND ELLIOT WINS THE PRIMARIES,UNDER THE APC TODAY.

                       The other aspirants stepped down for Nollywood actor Desmond Elliot,that made him the automatic winner of the primaries.He is contesting under the APC as a House of Assembly Surulere constituency in 2015 elections.It was said that the primary was peaceful at all the venues monitored by the press except Surulere where there was tension because Nollywood star Desmond Elliot was said to have been favoured against the incumbent and two term member of the House,Kabiru Lawal.It was also gathered that Lawal will be compensated with the chairmanship position of Surulere Local Government.Congratulations Desmond.
