COURT RESTRAINS RESIDENT DOCTORS FROM EMBARKING ON STRIKE The national industrial court Abuja division has restrained all members and agents of the national association of resident doctors from calling, directing, organizing, participating in, and embarking upon any form of industrial action. Justice Emmanuel Danjuma Subilim gave the order in an interim injunction filed by the federal government through the office of the attorney general of the federation and minister of justice. The court temporally barred members of the association from embarking on any form of strike, work stoppages, go-slows, picketing, or any other form of industrial protest or disruption. The association is equally restrained from taking steps preparatory to any form of industrial action from the 12th day of january, 2026. About 30 attackers arrived on motorbikes at the base in the Sikasso region near the Ivorian border waving a black flag and shouting ''Allahu Akbar'' {God is the Greatest}.The base was burnt to the ground and two people were confirmed dead.Colonel Souleymane Maiga,Director for Communication for the Malian army confirmed the attack that took place earlier today that ''Very early this morning,a police base in Misseni was attacked by armed men''.He did not give a death toll or comment on the identity of the attackers but said reinforcement had been deployed to the area.Mali erupted into violence in 2012 when Islamic militant group linked to al-Qaeda and Tuareg separatists joined forces to seize the desert north.A French led military operation a year later chased them out,although tensions and sporadic violence recur.
