 Investment Fraud: Witnesses Tell Court How they were Scammed in Afriq Arbitrage System The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday, April 16, 2026, presented Prosecution Witnesses 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 before Justice Obiora Egwuatu of the Federal High Court, FCT Abuja in the ongoing trial of Jesam Michael Ubi and Afriq Arbitrage System, AAS for their alleged involvement in investment fraud. The witnesses who are victims of Ubi, the first defendant’s arbitrage trading platform, Afriq Arbitrage System, AAS,  testified on the loss of their investment capital and promised return on investment. Led in their testimony by the prosecution counsel,  Ekele Iheanacho SAN, PW12, Okoye Eugene, a welder, told the court that he invested in an investment platform called COTPS which crashed. He disclosed that the first defendant through the investment’s social media group, encouraged him to continue investing even as it became apparent to him that he had been scammed....

       Red hot beauty/Top model Gigi Hadid is wearing a total red look from the Versace Pre-Fall 2018 collection on the cover of American Harpers Bazaar May 2018 issue lensed by fashion photographer Mariano Vivanco. Styling is work of Joanna Hillman, who for the session selected looks from top brands such as Versace, Chanel, Ralph Lauren Collection, Tod’s, Celine, Valentino, and Fendi. In charge of beauty were hair stylist Joey George for Oribe, makeup artist Erin Parsons for Maybelline New York, and manicurist Mei Kawajiri. “That all took a lot of hard work by me and many others, but it was a very natural progression. After I moved to New York, my social media really kicked off. I remember the head of my modeling agency, IMG, would call and be like, “What do we tell the girls to do with social media?” But it was never methodical; I just did it. As time went on, Instagram started to seem forced. People would go get coffee just to take a picture, and that’s when it began to seem sad. Take pictures of things because you’re experiencing them. “Yeah, and most of it is just nonsense. But it can still hurt. Nowadays, people are quick to say, “I used to love Gigi’s body, and now she just gave in.” But I’m not skinny because I gave in to the industry. When I had a more athletic figure, I was proud of my body because I was an amazing volleyball player and horseback rider. But after discovering that I have Hashimoto’s [an autoimmune disease], I needed to eat healthy and work out. It was weird as a teenager, dealing with this when all of my friends could eat McDonald’s and it wouldn’t affect them.
I loved my body then, and I love my body now. Whoever is reading this, I want you to realize that three years from now you will look back at a picture from this time period and be like: ‘Wow, I was so hot.
