 Three dead as gas explosion rocks Lagos Three persons have died as gas explosion rocked Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria on Tuesday afternoon. A 50kg Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) cylinder was said to have exploded at the frontage of a row of shops at Abule Pan, Lekki-Epe Expressway, Ibeju Lekki. The gas explosion occurred around 3:34pm on Tuesday. Loud bang was heard in the area with balls of fire enveloping the atmosphere, leading to pandemonium in the area when the gas explosion occurred. The Director/CEO, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services, Margaret Adeseye in a statement said the explosion involved LNG (industrial gas) cylinder of about 50kg assembled at the frontage of a row of shops. Adeseye said the Lekki Phase II Fire Station of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services complemented by Health Environment officials, military officials, Federal Road Safety Corps officials and Ibeju Lekki Local Government joined hands to combat the inferno.        Red hot beauty/Top model Gigi Hadid is wearing a total red look from the Versace Pre-Fall 2018 collection on the cover of American Harpers Bazaar May 2018 issue lensed by fashion photographer Mariano Vivanco. Styling is work of Joanna Hillman, who for the session selected looks from top brands such as Versace, Chanel, Ralph Lauren Collection, Tod’s, Celine, Valentino, and Fendi. In charge of beauty were hair stylist Joey George for Oribe, makeup artist Erin Parsons for Maybelline New York, and manicurist Mei Kawajiri. “That all took a lot of hard work by me and many others, but it was a very natural progression. After I moved to New York, my social media really kicked off. I remember the head of my modeling agency, IMG, would call and be like, “What do we tell the girls to do with social media?” But it was never methodical; I just did it. As time went on, Instagram started to seem forced. People would go get coffee just to take a picture, and that’s when it began to seem sad. Take pictures of things because you’re experiencing them. Nowadays, people are quick to say, “I used to love Gigi’s body, and now she just gave in.” But I’m not skinny because I gave in to the industry. When I had a more athletic figure, I was proud of my body because I was an amazing volleyball player and horseback rider. But after discovering that I have Hashimoto’s [an autoimmune disease], I needed to eat healthy and work out. It was weird as a teenager, dealing with this when all of my friends could eat McDonald’s and it wouldn’t affect them.
I loved my body then, and I love my body now. Whoever is reading this, I want you to realize that three years from now you will look back at a picture from this time period and be like: ‘Wow, I was so hot. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
