 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. AFCON: PDP Hails Super Eagles, Charges Team to Lift Trophy
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) celebrates the Super Eagles for the team’s performance in the on-going Africa Cup of Nation, urging the players to focus on lifting the trophy at the end of the tournament.
The party says it is highly proud of our national team for defeating the defending champion, the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon; a pointer to the triumph of the Super Eagles at the tournament.
The PDP notes that in defeating Cameroon, the Super Eagles, once again demonstrated the resilient spirit, courage and team work for which our nation and her people are known all over the world.
That victory has also shown that, as a nation, we can always surmount our challenges when we work together.
The party therefore charges the Super Eagles not to relent but to go in the same spirit and defeat the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the Quarter Finals on Wednesday.
The PDP urges Nigerians to continue in their support and prayers for the team to win the trophy and bring glory to our dear nation.
