 Over 25 million phones stolen in one year – FG The Crime Experience and Security Perception Survey report of the National Bureau of Statistics, a Federal Government agency, shows that Nigeria recorded 25.35 million phone theft cases between May 2023 and April 2024. According to the report, this was the most common type of crime within the period under review. The report read, “The number of crimes experienced by individuals in Nigeria was analysed over a period of time. The results show that theft of phones (25,354,417) was the most common crime experienced by individuals, followed by consumer fraud (12,107,210) and assault (8,453,258). However, hijacking of cars (333,349) was the least crime experienced by individuals within the reference period.” It also noted that most phone theft cases occurred either at home or in a public place, and about 90 per cent of such cases were reported to the police. It is driven towards promoting quality education, clean environment, healthy living and lifestyle and profitable agricultural practices.

As a community development focused organization, YNN is set to recognize and celebrate distinctive community driven individuals and organizations who have differentiated themselves in identifying major areas of concern in the society and have selflessly sacrificed for the good of the society.

To Celebrate Change Makers is to encourage humanity service and problem solving that is not money driven or for personal gains rather as a means for the general profiting.

The Head of the Planning Committee, Comrade Usman Bamidele stated that this event serves to appreciate everyone going out of their way to serve the people and the nation and to also celebrate committed YNN members across the nation from Sokoto to Bayelsa, Ogun to Kogi, Lagos to Abuja and across the Niger.
It is also as a means to get prepared for the greater days ahead as we prepare to take up new and transformational challenges before us in building a new Nigeria.

The National Media Director, Comrade Olatunde Oladimeji stated that efforts are being put in place to host a great event with people of timbre and caliber expected in attendance.

He added that unlike other youth groups, YNN is interested in the success of every member, we do this by providing job opportunities, business success, networking and financial supports to deserving members and also offer leadership training and developmental opportunities for all.

This year would be the first anniversary of the group, YNN, and it would be a weeklong event amongst which would include visitation to schools across various states of the country, leadership workshop for youth leaders, then the grand finale which would be the dinner and award night. The event is scheduled to hold between 21st and 24th of November, 2019, said Comrade Sunday Obanubi, Founder and National Coordinator of YNN.
