 Texas woman charged with medical child abuse for falsifying toddler’s health and pushing unnecessary feeding tube surgeries A Texas woman has been charged with medical child abuse after allegedly falsifying her toddler’s medical history to pressure doctors into performing unnecessary procedures, including feeding tube surgeries, in what authorities are calling a “sickening” case. Kaitlyn Rose Laura, 31, faces charges of injury to a child and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Officials said she deliberately misled medical staff about her 3-year-old son’s health to obtain a gastrostomy tube and later a gastrojejunostomy tube, despite no documented medical need. Investigators allege that hospital staff observed the boy eating normally while Laura claimed he refused all food. Covert surveillance confirmed the child was able to eat meals without difficulty, prompting authorities to stop tube feedings. NIGERIAN ARMY WOMEN'S CORPS TAKES IT SENSITISATION VISIT TO 1 DIVISION AND NIGERIAN DEFENCE ACADEMY KADUNA

In an effort to deepen the understanding and appreciate the efforts of the female troops, their command responsibilities and contributions to national security, the Nigerian Army Women’s Corps (NAWC) embarked on a sensitization visit to 1 Division Nigerian Army and Nigerian Defence Academy in Kaduna.

Delivering the lecture on behalf of the Commander NAWC Colonel DE Adamu, the Chief of Staff NAWC Colonel BS Omoge briefed the female participants on the History of the Corps, Roles and Responsibilities, Deployment of NAWC Personnel as well as the Leadership Opportunities. She then rounded up by emphasizing the need for female soldiers to be confident, discipline and professional in the discharge of their constitutional duties. This is aimed at achieving the mission of the Corps which is “To Administer and Train Professional Female Personnel to Support the NA Operational Engagements Within a Joint Environment in the Defence of Nigeria”.
