Pastor Bolaji Idowu Announces

Free Bus Service For Lagosians

Pastor Bolaji Idowu, lead pastor of Harvesters International Christian Centre, has launched a free bus service to assist commuters in Lagos. This initiative is a response to the rising transportation costs in the city, driven by increased fuel prices. The service aims to ease the financial burden on residents, offering free rides along major routes.

Known for its community-focused initiatives, the church has further cemented its reputation for philanthropy with this gesture. Many Lagosians, especially those struggling with the cost of transportation, have praised the move, seeing it as a reflection of compassion and practical Christianity.

Social media reactions have been overwhelmingly positive. Kingsley Ogbiti lauded the initiative, calling it "nice" and blessing the pastor for his thoughtfulness. Jeffrey Eboh noted that the gesture reflected true ministry, likening it to John 1:14, where "the word became flesh." Mfon Udoffa echoed similar sentiments, describing the service as "compassion in action."

Victor Adetolaju emphasized the church’s role as a "shield against famine" and a beacon of light in tough times. Uzezi Simon humorously remarked, "Church 2 - Naysayers 0," praising the unique way the church is giving back. Some users, like Legbe Oluwafemi, also pointed out how critics often overlook such acts of kindness while focusing on tithes and offerings.

The initiative has sparked a wider discussion about the role of the church in addressing societal needs. Many hope this service will inspire others to step up during these challenging times.
