McDonald’s launches World Cup meal and collectible cups ahead of 2026 FIFA tournament kickoff McDonald’s is launching limited-time World Cup meals and collectibles ahead of the FIFA tournament kickoff on June 11, as excitement builds for the expanded 48-team competition co-hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada. The fast-food chain, returning as an official tournament sponsor, will roll out its World Cup-themed menu nationwide starting June 4. Customers can choose between a Big Mac or a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets meal, both served with a special gold-packaged Big Mac Sauce. As part of the promotion, McDonald’s is also releasing collectible cups featuring nine global soccer stars and cultural icons. The lineup includes Christian Pulisic, David Beckham, Ronaldinho, Thierry Henry, Son Heung-Min, Lamine Yamal, Alphonso Davies, Santiago Gimenez, and the brand’s mascot Grimace. CĂ´te d'Ivoire signs defence deal with TĂĽrkiye


TĂĽrkiye and CĂ´te d'Ivoire have signed a military deal to boost bilateral ties further.


The mutual cooperation agreement was signed at the ongoing SAHA EXPO Defence and Aerospace Exhibition 2024, TĂĽrkiye's and Europe's largest industrial cluster, in Istanbul, TRT Afrika reported.


It is being attended by over 1,400 companies from more than 120 countries, 178 foreign procurement delegations, and 312 official delegations, including 25 ministerial-level teams.


''Minister of National Defence YaĹźar GĂĽler met CĂ´te d'Ivoire's Defence Minister, Tene Brahima Ouattara, who attended SAHA EXPO. Following the meeting, both ministers signed a Military Training and Cooperation Agreement,'' the Turkish Defence Ministry said in a statement on X.


The agreement is expected to expand security ties between TĂĽrkiye and CĂ´te d'Ivoire, including training. After signing the deal, ministers GĂĽler and Ouattara exchanged their countries' coats of arms.
