 Tragedy in Lagos: Two Dead After Machete-Wielding Attacker Storms Lekki IMAX Cinema A horrific incident unfolded at the Filmhouse IMAX Cinema in the upscale Lekki area of Lagos State on Friday night, August 29, leaving two people dead following a violent confrontation with an armed intruder. Violent Confrontation at Cinema Entrance According to eyewitness accounts, a man armed with a machete and a knife attempted to force his way into the cinema premises. Onlookers reported that the assailant appeared to be highly intoxicated or under the influence of substances. When vigilant security personnel stationed at the entrance intercepted him to prevent entry, a violent scuffle ensued. Fatal Stabbing and Subsequent Mob Action The Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, SP Adebisi Abimbola, confirmed the tragic details of the encounter.  South Sudan declares cholera outbreak


South Sudan declared a cholera outbreak in the country on Monday.


The declaration came after reports of 44 suspected cholera cases and six laboratory-confirmed cases on October 23 in Renk, Upper Nile State.


Forty-nine cholera cases have been reported among refugees, returnees and local communities.
