 A popular content creator has died from surgery complication     Esther Thomas, popularly known as Sunshine, was a Nigerian content creator, skit maker, and brand influencer. She died on Friday, 9 January 2026, after complications from fibroid surgery. She had been complaining of serious stomach pain from late December 2025.     Sunshine was first admitted at Orchid General Hospital in Lagos, where her friends said she was only given pain relief drugs because doctors were on strike. Her condition did not improve, so she was moved to another hospital on 2 January 2026, where tests showed she had a large fibroid and surgery was carried out. She later developed complications and died. After her death, friends blamed Orchid General Hospital online, saying she was neglected and did not receive proper treatment early enough. King West, the son of the new National Union of Road Transport Workers NURTW president, Musiliu Akinsaya, better known as MC Oluomo, has congratulated him on his new appointment


We reported on Saturday that MC Oluomo had emerged as the new National President of the NURTW.

Before his victory, MC Oluomo was the former chairman of NURTW, Lagos State Chapter, before he emerged as National President.


Reacting to his father’s win via his Instagram story, he noted how he is officially the son of the president of NURTW Nigeria. Congratulating his father, he appreciated the president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.


In a now-deleted post, he bragged that he and his family are now controlling the country and not only Lagos.


I am now officially the son of the president of NURTW Nigeria. Congratulations dad!! It’s official.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
