Mali renames colonial French street names Mali followed Burkina Faso and Niger on Wednesday in renaming streets and squares in its capital to get rid of their French colonial names, AFP reported. Streets bearing the names of members of France's colonial administration have been rebaptised in Bamako, according to a decree by the junta chief. Cedeao Avenue (the French acronym for the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS) is also now named after a new strategic confederation that Mali has formed with Burkina Faso and Niger – the Alliance of Sahel States (AES). BRITISH/INDIA BUSINESSMAN ACCUSED OF INVOLVEMENT IN PORNOGRAPHY PRODUCTION. (PHOTO).

Businessman Raj Kundra, accused of involvement in pornography production, has spoken out for the first time in three years, strongly denying the allegations. In an interview with ANI, Kundra clarified his role in the controversy, stating that he had only provided technological services and was not involved in producing or distributing pornography.

Kundra explained that his brother-in-law’s UK-based company, Kenrin, operated an app that showcased bold, adult-oriented content but denied it was pornographic. “I have never been involved in any production of pornography. My role was limited to providing technology services, and there is no evidence linking me to these allegations,” he said. Kundra challenged the accusations, asking for any proof or testimony from actors who claimed to have worked with him on such content.

Reflecting on his arrest in 2021, Kundra described the 63 days he spent in detention as emotionally draining. He said being separated from his family and facing intense media scrutiny was difficult. However, Kundra expressed confidence in the judicial process and stated, “I know I didn’t do anything wrong, and I believe justice will prevail.”

Kundra also spoke about the toll the allegations had taken on his reputation and family. He acknowledged the damage caused but vowed to continue fighting for the truth. “The respect we lost will never come back, but I have to keep fighting. I hope that justice will be served and the truth will finally come out,” he said.
