ZIMBABWEAN COUPLE DEPORTED OVER SECRET BURIAL OF CHILD IN BOTSWANA A Zimbabwean couple has been deported from Botswana after secretly burying their child without notifying authorities. Motilinah Mpofu and Christopher Ncube were convicted on Thursday of concealing a death after they allegedly dug a grave for their child in the dead of night. The Gaborone court heard the child had died suddenly. Instead of reporting the death to police, health officials, or traditional leaders, the couple quietly buried the youngster and hoped no one would find out. But the secret did not stay buried for long.   Police moved in and arrested the pair. In sentencing, the court ordered that the couple be taken to the Plumtree Border Post for deportation to Zimbabwe.  Top Botswana lawyer Winnie Masitha who offered the couple free legal representation during the trial, confirmed the deportation to BTV News. FOUR MEN ALLEGEDLY SHOT DEAD 27-YEAR-OLD RAJESH SAINI, THE OWNER OF A SWEETS SHOP, FOLLOWING AN ARGUMENT OVER THE DELIVERY OF A SAMOSA.(PHOTO).

In a shocking incident in Farrukhnagar, Haryana, four men allegedly shot dead 27-year-old Rajesh Saini, the owner of a sweets shop, following an argument over the delivery of a samosa. The fatal shooting occurred on Tuesday afternoon near Jhajjar Chowk, just a day after Saini reportedly refused a delivery request from one of the accused.

According to police, Pankaj from Ismailpur, Faridabad, had visited the shop on Monday and demanded that a samosa be delivered to a nearby office. When Saini declined, citing that his shop did not offer delivery services, a heated exchange followed. Pankaj allegedly left after issuing threats. The next day, he returned with three associates and opened fire on Saini, who was struck by two bullets and died on the spot.

The incident has sparked outrage among the local business community, who shut down their shops in protest and blocked the Farrukhnagar-Jhajjar Road for hours, accusing the police of inaction despite earlier warnings from Saini’s family. Police confirmed that the family had alerted them to threats after Monday’s confrontation, but no preventive action was taken.

Senior officers, including Pataudi ACP Sukhbir Singh and Sadar ACP Yashwant Singh, intervened and assured justice, prompting protesters to disperse. An FIR for murder has been filed against the four accused, and police have deployed 10 Crime Branch teams to trace and arrest them. No police personnel have been suspended yet, as the investigation continues.
