In his keynote address, the IGP described the annual conference as “a strategic national engagement and a critical platform for strengthening police-public communication, shaping national narratives constructively, and deepening trust between the Police and citizens.” He emphasised that modern-day policing is increasingly defined by public trust, transparency, and the quality of communication between law enforcement agencies and the public, noting that the Public Relations Officers remain central to institutional credibility.  ‎INTERNAL SECURITY: POLICE PARTNER SECURITY EXPERTS, AS IGP INSPECTS INTELLIGENCE INSTALLATIONS AT IDU COMMUNITY IN ABUJA

‎In continuation of efforts to bolster intelligence-led policing as a vital component of internal security management, the 22nd Indigenous Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, today, inspected state-of-the-art intelligence installations at Idu Community in Abuja. The visit formed part of the strategic engagements of the Nigeria Police Force with indigenous security experts, particularly EIB STRATOC, a homegrown security solutions provider, in pursuit of stronger collaboration towards enhancing national security architecture.

‎During the inspection along with DIG Ben Nebeolisa Okolo, fdc (Force Intelligence Department), DIG Adebowale Williams, fdc (ICT), AIG Adeleke Taiwo (Depratment of Operations), CP Felix Obe (Federal Operations) and other senior police officers, the IGP noted that intelligence gathering remains the bedrock of effective policing in the 21st century, emphasizing that the Force under his leadership is committed to harnessing technology, innovation, and expertise, both indigenous and foreign, to stay ahead of emerging threats. He assured that the partnership will not only strengthen the Force’s operational capabilities but also deepen community trust and synergy with critical stakeholders in the security sector.

‎The Inspector-General reiterated his commitment to improved cutting-edge technology for policing Nigeria, and commended the expertise of EIB STRATOC while calling on other security experts and Nigerians to collaborate with the Nigeria Police and other security agencies for improved technology-driven intelligence gathering for a more effective internal and national security architecture.
