El-Rufai’s Eye Condition Worsening In ICPC Custody, Aide Alleges The media aide to former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, Muyiwa Adekeye, has expressed concern over what he described as the worsening eye condition of his principal while in the custody of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). Adekeye also accused the anti-corruption agency of failing to provide El-Rufai with adequate medical care despite repeated complaints about his health. In a statement issued on Friday, Adekeye said the former governor had reported symptoms including swollen, red, and itchy eyes while in detention and had requested medical attention. According to him, family members who visited El-Rufai noticed the condition and alerted ICPC officials, urging them to allow him access to medical treatment. A SMALL TOWN CALIFORNIA POLICE DEPARTMENT ESCORTED THE CHILDREN OF A FALLEN OFFICER TO THEIR FIRST DAY BACK TO SCHOOL AFTER LOSING THEIR FATHER.(PHOTO).

A small town California Police Department escorted the children of a fallen officer to their first day back to school after losing their father.

Ray Barrantes (an officer with the Chowchilla PD) lost his life on Friday, October 3rd. Ray's cruiser was struck by a truck as it turned onto the highway. Life-saving measures were attempted, but sadly, Ray was pronounced deceased on scene.

Ray Barrantes is the first officer to lose his life in the line of duty from the Chowchilla P.D.

Now the department has made an unbelievably kind gesture and show of support for one of their own.

Monday morning was the first day back to school for Ray's three children. The Chowchilla Police Department knew this would be a tough day for Ray's family. The department decided to do something to hopefully brighten the family's day and remind them they have an entire family in blue who support them.

The department arranged a police escort for the children as they returned to school. Multiple agencies participated in this amazing gesture of solidarity and kindness.

As the family walked to the school, they were embraced by faculty, students and officers in an unbelievable display of compassion.

Ray's wife Jessica said "It means so much to us, so much, so much for everyone to reach out to us, especially at a time like this," as she was overcome by emotion.

This was such a special display of togetherness in the face of tragedy.

Our thoughts are with the family of Ray Barrantes.
