 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event.  Two Women Get Justice Through Anambra Ministry of Women Affairs


Mrs. Ogochukwu Onyema and Mrs. Nneka Jennifer, through the Ministry of Women Affairs, Anambra State, has expressed their profound appreciation to the government of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo for his continued support in the fight against gender-based violence.


Mrs. Ogochukwu, who had been deprived of her late father’s property, successfully reclaimed her inheritance with the intervention of the Ministry and the support of the Governor.


Similarly, Mrs. Nneka Jennifer, who had been denied access to her children following a domestic dispute with her husband, also received justice after her case was presented in court. Despite not being an indigene of Anambra State, Mrs. Nneka was granted fair hearing and justice through the efforts of the Soludo-led administration.


The Ministry of Women Affairs reaffirmed its commitment to fighting all forms of gender-based violence in the state. It also called on women facing similar challenges to report their cases, assuring them of fair and amicable handling.
