Kim Kardashian-led All’s Fair renewed for season 2 at Hulu
Kim Kardashian-fronted legal drama All’s Fair has been renewed for a second season on Hulu, ahead of its first season finale. The series, created by Ryan Murphy, has faced harsh critical reviews, holding just a 3% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, yet it became the biggest Hulu Original scripted premiere in three years, drawing 3.2 million global views in its first three days. Kardashian has embraced the criticism, joking on Instagram about the show’s acclaim, with co-star Glenn Close joining in on the humor with a playful reference to her Fatal Attraction fame.
The nine-episode first season performed strongly with audiences, making Luminate’s Top 15 TV shows during its debut week with 2.61 million hours viewed in the U.S. By the week of November 7-13, after the fourth episode aired, the series rose to 13th place with 3.85 million hours viewed and 1.33 million views, ranking fourth for the week behind Peacock’s All Her Fault, Netflix’s Death by Lightning, and Apple’s Pluribus. The following week, after Episode 5, the series drew 636,059 views, maintaining the 13th spot.
All’s Fair stars Kardashian as Allura Grant, who launches a female-led divorce law firm with Naomi Watts’ Liberty Ronson and Niecy Nash-Betts’ Emerald Greene, navigating high-stakes breakups, scandal, and rivalries, including with Sarah Paulson’s Carrington Lane. The ensemble cast also features Teyana Taylor, Matthew Noszka, Judith Light, O-T Fagbenle, Armani Barrett, Jamarcus Kilgore, Joshua Suiter, Ed O’Neill, and Hari Nef, along with high-profile guest stars including Grace Gummer, Kate Berlant, Elizabeth Berkley Lauren, Jack Davenport, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Brooke Shields. The first season wraps with a two-episode finale on December 9.
The series originated after Disney Entertainment Co-Chair Dana Walden introduced Murphy to Kris Jenner, leading to Kardashian’s involvement. While Murphy initially pitched a reality show, the meeting ultimately inspired a scripted role for Kardashian on American Horror Story and later led to All’s Fair. Kardashian, who recently did not pass the California bar exam, said the show reinforced her belief in pushing beyond limits.
All’s Fair is produced by 20th Television in association with Ryan Murphy Television. Murphy serves as writer, executive producer, and director, alongside Jon Robin Baitz, Joe Baken, Jamie Pachino, Lyn Greene, and Richard Levine. Kardashian, Close, Watts, Nash-Betts, and Paulson are also executive producers, with Kris Jenner, Eric Kovtun, Scott Robertson, and Nissa Diederich producing, and Anthony Hemingway executive producing and directing.
