Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court has handed IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu a life sentence after finding him guilty on all seven counts related to terrorism.
Kanu was absent from court, having previously insisted that the judgment should not proceed without him.
According to the judge, his Radio Biafra broadcasts and his role in ordering sit-at-home protests in South-Eastern states were considered acts of terrorism — targeting security personnel and restricting citizens’ freedoms.
