Mexico says two US federal agents killed in crash were not authorized for operations inside country  Mexico’s government says two U.S. federal agents killed in a northern border-region crash were not authorized to take part in any operations on Mexican soil, raising new questions about their role in a cross-border drug lab mission. Authorities say the agents were returning from an operation targeting a clandestine drug facility in Chihuahua when their vehicle, traveling as part of a convoy, went off a ravine and exploded last weekend. Two Mexican officers also died in the incident. U.S. officials have confirmed the two Americans were CIA personnel, though their agency has declined to comment on the circumstances. Howard Stern renews SiriusXM deal for three years

Howard Stern has confirmed that he will remain with SiriusXM for another three years, extending his long-running tenure with the satellite radio network. The 71-year-old host made the announcement live on The Howard Stern Show, with the company confirming the extension but providing no further financial or contractual details. Stern previously renewed his contract in 2020 for five years, in a deal reported to be worth between $450 million and $500 million.

Stern has been a central figure at SiriusXM for more than two decades, having pioneered the move from terrestrial radio to satellite, setting a standard for high-profile talent seeking greater creative freedom. Earlier this year, he and fellow Sirius personality Andy Cohen staged a playful announcement suggesting Cohen might take over Stern’s show, feeding speculation about Stern’s future. Rumors of a potential cancellation circulated last summer, often amplified by outlets critical of Stern’s political commentary. Stern acknowledged that his unique work schedule, which includes summers off and limited studio appearances, influenced the recent negotiations. SiriusXM executives have consistently described Stern as a “core” part of their programming, expressing confidence in reaching agreements that support both the host and the network.
