Lady cries out after boyfriend allegedly refused to send her business money because she said Arsenal wouldn’t win the league A lady has sparked reactions online after sharing how her boyfriend allegedly refused to send her money for business restocking after Arsenal F.C. won the Premier League. According to her, the issue started after she jokingly told him she did not like Arsenal and believed they would not win the league because she preferred Chelsea and disliked the club’s colours. She claimed her boyfriend then jokingly said if Arsenal eventually won, he would no longer send her business money. Thinking it was banter, she ignored it until she later reached out for funds to restock goods, only for him to remind her of the bet and refuse to send the money. The lady said she eventually returned home with little after spending hours waiting, jokingly warning women to avoid “football emotional men.”

Zelenskyy seeks details on Putin’s proposed May 9 ceasefire as fighting intensifies across Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he is seeking clarification on a short-term ceasefire proposal put forward by Russia to U.S. President Donald Trump, as questions remain over the scope and intent of the plan. The proposal, reportedly discussed during a phone call between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Trump, calls for a May 9 pause in fighting to coincide with Russia’s Victory Day commemorations. Zelenskyy said Ukrainian officials have been instructed to reach out to the U.S. administration to determine the details, while stressing that Ukraine is instead pushing for a broader, longer-term ceasefire. Russian officials, meanwhile, said no final decision has been made, adding that any terms would ultimately be set by Putin.

As diplomatic uncertainty continues, fighting on the ground has intensified. Overnight attacks across Ukraine killed one person in Dnipro and wounded at least 20 others in Odesa, where drone strikes damaged residential buildings and civilian infrastructure despite air defense efforts. In contrast, Ukrainian forces continued striking targets inside Russia for a second straight day, including reported disruptions at an industrial facility in the Perm region and a fire at an oil refinery in Tuapse along the Black Sea coast. Ukrainian naval forces also claimed strikes on two Russian vessels in the Kerch Strait, highlighting the widening scope of cross-border attacks.

The ceasefire discussion comes amid a series of politically sensitive developments beyond the battlefield. A cargo ship linked to disputed grain shipments departed Israel after failing to unload, following concerns raised by Ukrainian officials that the grain had been taken from occupied territories. Israeli authorities reportedly declined to accept the shipment, and Ukrainian officials described the outcome as a diplomatic success. While negotiations over a potential pause in fighting remain unresolved, both sides continue to escalate military activity, underscoring the gap between diplomatic talks and conditions on the ground.
