 Legendary actor Manoj Kumar dies at 87: ‘Roti Kapada Aur Makaan’ director breathes his last in Mumbai Manoj Kumar, the Bollywood actor and filmmaker, renowned for his patriotic films, passed away at the age of 87 at Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. The cause of his death was identified as cardiogenic shock due to acute myocardial infarction, according to medical reports. The medical reports confirmed that apart from a severe heart attack that took away his life, Manoj had been battling decompensated liver cirrhosis for the past few months, ANI reported. Following deteriorating health condition, he was admitted to the hospital on February 21, 2025. Popularly known as ‘Bharat Kumar,’ Manoj Kumar was an exceptional director and actor who was honoured with National Film Award. CHIDI LIOYD RELEASED ON BAIL.

Chidi lloyd: released on bail        Chidi Lloyd has been released by the Nigerian police command in Rivers state six days after detention over a fatal traffic accident that led to the death of police sergeant Urang Obediah and Kingsley Ejeuo on Emehuo axis of the East-west road.One of Chidi Lloyd's lawyers,Emenike Ebete confirmed the law maker's release.He said Lloyd was granted an administrative bail with the condition that he must deposit his international passport.Lloyd was required by the police to provide two sureties,one of whom must deposit a certificate of occupancy of a landed property in Port Harcourt.The Rivers police commissioner Mbu Joseph had accused the law maker of murder of murder and even accused Governor Chibuike Amaechi of planning to smuggle him out of the state.Lloyd's lawyer said that asfter the accident,the driver of his client's,surrendered himself to the police.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
