 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS MINISTER OF STATE FOR PETROLEUM RESOURCES (GAS) AS CO-CHAIRMAN OF NCDMB GOVERNING COUNCIL In line with his avowed commitment to establish a more efficient, targeted, and consistent approval process for unique oil and gas projects in the country, President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), as the Co-Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB). This is also to further ensure effective oversight of the gas aspect of the nation's assets. The President remains committed to unlocking Nigeria's immense gas potential to stimulate industrial development, job creation, and sustainable economic growth. CHIDI LIOYD RELEASED ON BAIL.

Chidi lloyd: released on bail        Chidi Lloyd has been released by the Nigerian police command in Rivers state six days after detention over a fatal traffic accident that led to the death of police sergeant Urang Obediah and Kingsley Ejeuo on Emehuo axis of the East-west road.One of Chidi Lloyd's lawyers,Emenike Ebete confirmed the law maker's release.He said Lloyd was granted an administrative bail with the condition that he must deposit his international passport.Lloyd was required by the police to provide two sureties,one of whom must deposit a certificate of occupancy of a landed property in Port Harcourt.The Rivers police commissioner Mbu Joseph had accused the law maker of murder of murder and even accused Governor Chibuike Amaechi of planning to smuggle him out of the state.Lloyd's lawyer said that asfter the accident,the driver of his client's,surrendered himself to the police.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
