 Anambra State Government Apprehends 8 Suspects For Extorting More Than 800,000 Thousand Naira From Women In Awka  By Chidinma Ikeanyionwu  Anambra State Government, through the Ministry of Women and Social Welfare, has arrested eight suspects for allegedly extorting more than Eight Hundred Thousand Naira from women in Awka.  The arrest was part of state government's resolve in eradicating crimes and corruption in the state.  The exercise came following the directive of the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Soludo of an NGO using government's name to extort the sum of twenty thousand naira and above from unsuspecting individuals mostly women in Awka.  When the Women and Social Welfare Commissioner bursted the office complex of the Host Communities of Nigeria Anambra State Chapter located opposite government house Awka, it was discovered that the suspects were operating with the United Bank of Africa staff in opening a current account for the women who must pay

115 MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT IN SOMALIA,SIGNED A VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE TO IMPEACH THEIR PRESIDENT.

                Yesterday wednesday evening,a 9 page motion was handed over to the Speaker of Parliament by a group of Parliamentarians after meeting the requirements of the numbers of MPs to table in a motion.The motion is a vote of no confidence in President of Somalia,Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud,accusing him of violating the constitution.The no confidence motion was signed by a total of 115 MPs.Somalia Legislator have accused the President of rampant corruption,political nepotism and incompetence since he came to power in 2006.MP Abdi Hosh said ''We have been preparing this motion for the last six months and we believe that there is no other way of solving what is going on in the Presidential office''.Impeaching the president would require the submission of a notice signed by not less than one third of the Parliament eligible to vote to the Speaker of Parliament for the process to get underway.But obtaining the minimum number of 125 signature will be a massive boost for the MPs.
