 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. TANZANIA PRESIDENT,SACKED ONE OF HIS MINISTERS FOR BEING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL DURING WORKING HOURS.

                          Charles Kitwanga,Tanzania's Home Affairs minister has been sacked by the country's president for turning up to parliament and answering questions while under the influence of alcohol.His the first minister to be fired since the cabinet's appointment.Analysts said his sack came as a surprise as he was widely viewed as being close to Magufuli.President John Magufuli,said in a statement yesterday friday that ''He was sacked after he turned up drunk to parliament and responded to a question directed to the Ministry of Home Affairs while being in a drunken state''.Kitwanga had previously faced calls to quit before the incident by lawmakers who criticized his handing of the ministry.The picture above is Charles Kitwanga,while the one below is the President of Tanzania.One more photo below.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
