 FG reaffirms commitment to North-East inclusion in Agro-Industrial Project amid exclusion claims The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has dismissed concerns raised by the North-East Caucus of the National Assembly regarding the alleged exclusion of the region from the Federal Government's flagship agricultural initiative the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone (SAPZ) program. The minister of agriculture and food security Sen. Abubakar Kyari made the clarification over the weekend while briefing the media. He noted that the North-East is not only included in the SAPZ program, but that several states from the region have already met the eligibility criteria for the second phase of the project. The response comes on the heels of public criticisms sparked by the recent groundbreaking ceremonies in Kaduna and Cross River states. PDP Replies APC: You Can’t Get Away With Imo ...Berates APC For Celebrating Injustice, Insulting Nigerians
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says the All Progressives Congress (APC) is gloating on Nigerians and celebrating the accursed judgment of the Supreme Court on Imo governorship election because it is anti people and its leaders will never understand the value of democracy.
The APC, in celebrating the judgment, which is manifestly loathsome to the generality of Nigerians, has further confirmed that, not only that the APC is behind the judicial manipulation, but also that it has no iota of regard for the sensibility and mood of Nigerians against the injustice perpetuated.
Nigerians are however not surprised that APC is championing the destruction of our democratic values and the unity of our nation as its leaders never played any decisive role but were in hypocritical posturing while the leaders of the PDP fought to entrench democracy and freedom in our country.
At the time PDP leaders, as patriots and statesmen, were confronting the tyranny of the military regime, many of the APC leaders abandoned our nation for exotic exiles. Those who did not go on exotic exile were in league with tyrants in oppressing Nigerians and debasing our institutions of democracy for their selfish purposes.
APC leaders are therefore not happy that democracy has gained roots in our country and as such are employing all manner of schemes and machination to destroy our democratic institutions while gloating on Nigerians whenever injustice is meted out on the people.
The PDP however insists that the APC will not get away with its robbery of the governorship of Imo state as the PDP and the people of Imo will not relent in taking all steps necessary to ensure that the injustice perpetuated by the Supreme Court, under Justice Tanko Mohammed, is reviewed.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
