No good deed goes unpunished.  A Florida sea tow captain saved a man from a burning ship only to be shoved overboard and have his boat stolen. This shocking incident occurred near Marco Island on March 6th. On that date, a call went out regarding a burning boat. The captain of a sea tow boat heard the distress call and rushed to provide aid. He was able to quickly locate the burning boat and  discovered 40-year-old, Ryan Deiter, and his dog onboard the burning ship. Three employees of ATC Nigeria Base Station, Ogijo—Sikiru Oyedokun (50), Oladimeji Monsuru (46), and Abraham Ebenezer (33)—were on Tuesday arraigned at the Ogun State Magistrate Court in Sagamu for allegedly stealing 165,033.18 Kilo Watt of electricity valued at N22,887,474.28, the property of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC).

The defendants pleaded not guilty, and their counsel requested bail on liberal terms, arguing they are employees and not the owners of the company. Magistrate Olayinka Idowu granted each defendant bail of N7 million with one surety residing in the state, possessing landed property and evidence of tax payment. The case is set for trial on January 9 and 10, 2025.
