 COURT RESTRAINS RESIDENT DOCTORS FROM EMBARKING ON STRIKE  The national industrial court Abuja division has restrained all members and agents of the national association of resident doctors from calling, directing, organizing, participating in, and embarking upon any form of industrial action.  Justice Emmanuel Danjuma Subilim gave the order in an interim injunction filed by the federal government through the office of the attorney general of the federation and minister of justice.  The court temporally barred members of the association from embarking on any form of strike, work stoppages, go-slows, picketing, or any other form of industrial protest or disruption. The association is equally restrained from taking steps preparatory to any form of industrial action from the 12th day of january, 2026. ANIMAL CRUELTY IN INDIA: POLICE ARRESTED A MAN FOR ALLEGEDLY SEXUALLY ASSAULTING AND MUTILATING A STRAY DOG. (PHOTO).


 In a shocking case of animal cruelty, Bengaluru police have arrested a man for allegedly sexually assaulting and mutilating a stray dog. The horrifying incident came to light when Vidya, a local animal lover who regularly feeds strays, found the injured dog and rushed it to safety.  


The distressing condition of the dog prompted immediate intervention, with animal welfare activists and concerned citizens demanding strict action. Police launched an investigation based on Vidya’s report, leading to the suspect’s arrest. Authorities are now examining the full extent of the abuse and considering stringent legal action.  


The case has sparked outrage across social media, with calls for harsher punishment for crimes against animals. Activists argue that such cruelty highlights the urgent need for stronger animal protection laws and stricter enforcement.  


Meanwhile, the rescued dog is receiving medical care and is on the path to recovery. Animal rights groups continue to push for justice, ensuring such heinous acts do not go unpunished.
