 Arsenal set to open new contract talks with Saka Arsenal are set to open formal talks with Bukayo Saka over a new contract as the forward enters the final two years of his current deal. Saka has been unavailable since December after sustaining a serious hamstring tear in the victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park - an injury that eventually required surgery. But his importance to Mikel Arteta's team remains unquestioned with the club preparing to meet the player's representatives over a contract extension.Arsenal want to avoid any uncertainty regarding their star player's future and will make securing Saka to a longer contract one of their top priorities. THE RSHA HAS INITIATED IMPEACHMENT PROCEEDINGS AGAINST GOV. FUBARA AND HIS DEPUTY, CITING MULTIPLE ALLEGATIONS OF MISCONDUCT. (PHOTOS).


 The Rivers State House of Assembly has initiated impeachment proceedings against Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Prof. Ngozi Odu, citing multiple allegations of misconduct.


Key accusations against Governor Fubara include:


-Budget Violations ā€“ Failure to present the 2024 Appropriation Bill and unauthorized withdrawals from the stateā€™s Consolidated Revenue Fund.

-Court Order Disobedience ā€“ Ignoring judicial rulings regarding budget approvals and government expenditures.

-Legislative Interference ā€“ Hindering the operations of the House of Assembly and supervising the demolition of the Assembly complex despite court injunctions.

-Unlawful Appointments ā€“ Appointing government officials without proper screening and confirmation by the Assembly.

-Financial Mismanagement ā€“ Withholding funds meant for the Assembly and its members, including salaries.


The Supreme Court has previously condemned Fubaraā€™s actions, stating that political disagreements do not justify attacks on the rule of law. The impeachment process is ongoing.
